Meet Noway Museba our CSR champion of the week
This week our CSR Champion is Noway Museba, the Public Relations Manager at Moonlight Provident Associates.
Noway says her passion from a young was to help others and to empower others around her. In High school she was already joining clubs that helped push this passion. When she joined Moonlight Provident Associates this gave her a platform to really pursue her dream of empowering vulnerable youth, women and children.
Noway goes onto say she is happy seeing the changes that have been taking place globally and at a local level, that have work spaces become more inclusive of both women and men. She says this has created a platform for women in CSR to really push and make an impact with little bias towards them. She encourages women seeking to break the bias to work on themselves, to focus on the personal development so as to make meaningful change.
The Covid-19 era has brought many challenges to most industries and Moonlight was no exception. As a result, projects that had been lined up for the last two years were slowed down. The projects could not fully come to fruition, although they still managed to do quite a bit and for that they must be commended. Some of the projects they embarked on are a donation to Poresai Vanhu Children’s Home which houses more than 44 children of primary school going age. They managed to donate school uniforms as well as groceries. Moonlight also has a cancer fund that targets to help cancer patients in Zimbabwe as they fight the disease.
Moonlight also commits to maintain the environment by participating in clean-up campaigns where the company cleans, fixes and conserves the environment that they operate in.
More recently for International Womens Day, they held celebrations to support and appreciate all the ladies at Moonlight.
In her closing remarks, Noway advices young professionals starting out that the sky is the limit, to work hard and strive to do better always.
