All is set for the Midlands province Sustainability and Devolution Conference and Responsible Business Awards to be held in Gweru on the 5th of August at the Village Lodge.
The Responsible Business Awards, which will run under the theme: Celebrating Sustainability Excellence towards achieving vision 2030, are annually organized by Corporate Social Responsibility Network Zimbabwe (CSRNZ) which is Zimbabwe’s premier business association for Corporate Social Responsibility. CSRNZ Executive Director Willard Razawo said businesses should be bound by one common goal of changing the fortunes of vulnerable communities adding that as a country we need to culture a strong tradition of community involvement regardless of the size of our businesses.
“We want Zimbabwe to be recognized in the region and internationally for its CSR excellence and the leadership position that our businesses take in contributing to a better society hence these appreciation awards we are set to host,” he added.
The awards will run on the side-lines of a Sustainability and Devolution Conference on the same day, under the theme: The Role of Responsible Corporates in advancing the Devolution Agenda.
