UMP – The Environment, Social and Governance Network Zimbabwe (ESGNZ) formerly CSR Network Zimbabwe donated a package of soccer uniforms to Kaseke Primary school in Uzumba-Maramba-Pfungwe District as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.

ESGNZ said the donation was motivated after seeing a plea from the school headmaster Mr Mushingaidzwa requesting for urgent assistance.

“Kaseke primary is requesting for donations from well-wishers in cash or kind. The School Intends to buy soccer, volley ball, handball and athletics uniforms. The uniforms will be used during our ball games competitions which are set to Held on 30 June 2023” Mushingaidzwa wrote.

The headmaster added that the school was using sport kits which were acquired 18 years ago in 2005.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, ESGNZ Executive Director Willard Razawo said the donation was in line with the organisation’s vision and moral values to support and empower less privileged communities especially at grassroots level.

Meanwhile the Kaseke primary school boys’ soccer team coach expressed gratitude to ESGNZ for the kind gesture adding that his boys were motivated by the new soccer kit which led them to finish as the second-best team in the district only losing to the eventual winners Magunje primary.
